Spartan Spiel: The Battle for Paul Bunyan

It’s that time of year again, Michigan vs. Michigan State. The rivalry game of the year (in my opinion). Personally, I believe Michigan has a lot of work to do. I’m not just saying that because I love MSU. I’m saying that because Michigan is supposed to be a legend. The past couple of years they’ve fallen behind, especially to MSU. I believe if Michigan wants to get their head back in the game they will have to fire Brady Hoke and David Brandon and hire new leadership. Their offense is also going to have to improve.

In today’s game, I just can’t see Michigan pulling it off. The way Michigan has been playing just isn’t going to be able to get past the way MSU’s defense has been playing. Especially since the game will be in East Lansing. I can see the Wolverines pulling out a touchdown, maybe even a field goal. I don’t believe Mark Dantoino and the MSU defense will let any more than that happen. For Michigan State, I think Connor Cook along with Tony Lippet and the offensive line will go into the game wanting a win and getting one. The defensive will be fired up and be able to hold off the Wolverines.

I think the outcome of today’s final game will be: Michigan State 47, Michigan 10.
