Grantland Rice Super 16 poll: Michigan State stuck at No. 8 despite big win over rival
EAST LANSING — Michigan State’s 35-11 win over Michigan might have had its place in the history of the series as the Spartans’ largest victory margin since 1967, but it didn’t cause a ripple in the FWAA-NFF Grantland Rice Super 16 poll.
The Spartans (7-1, 4-0 Big Ten) remained at No. 8, unable to jump an Ole Miss team that fell from No. 3 to No. 7 on the heels of a 10-7 loss to LSU at Tiger Stadium.
Mississippi State, which went on the road and beat Kentucky 45-31, held the No. 1 spot in the poll. - Read more at MLive.com
