Michigan State QB Connor Cook: Offensive line played ‘best game they’ve played all year’

EAST LANSING — Michigan State entered into Saturday’s game with Michigan with serious questions about its offensive line’s ability to get a push in short yardage.

The Spartans ranked 75th in the nation in third down situations with 1-3 yards to go, converting on 16 of 29 attempts — 55 percent — according to Athlon Sports.

Coach Mark Dantonio has said the goal is an 80-percent conversion rate in those situations, so it’s not surprising the offensive line was challenged leading up to Michigan State’s 35-11 victory over the Wolverines on Saturday. - Read more at MLive.com
