Baby caps wild week for Russell Byrd, Klarissa Bell

Addison Mae Byrd began her life with impeccable timing.

At 8 pounds, 10 ounces, she arrived just in time for her mother and father to avoid a nerve-wracking few days separated from each other by 2,000 miles — all for the sake of an exhibition basketball game.

“I was definitely nervous,” Russell Byrd said early Saturday morning, about seven hours after Addison was born.

Byrd, minus a wink of sleep, was on a bus to Los Angeles International Airport with the rest of The Master’s College basketball team, bound for East Lansing. - Read more at LSJ.com
