Position breakdown: Michigan State has a clear edge over Ohio State in some key areas

EAST LANSING — Michigan State will see more speed and talent in the form of the Ohio State Buckeyes than it has seen since dropping a 46-27 decision at Oregon on Sept. 6.

The No. 8-ranked Spartans (7-1, 4-0 Big Ten) are more prepared for the No. 13-ranked Buckeyes (7-1, 4-0), however, as MSU’s six new defensive starters have settled in for Saturday’s 8 p.m. game.

Both teams boast Davey O’Brien Award semifinalists at quarterback and Lombardi Award semifinalists on the defensive line, along with several other NFL draft prospects.
