Buckeyes 49, Spartans 37: J.T. Barrett delivers hit to Michigan State’s playoff hopes

EAST LANSING — Michigan State’s College Football Playoff hopes were dashed, and Ohio State took control of the Big Ten East.

The Spartans lost Saturday night, 49-37, due mainly to an inability to stop Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett.

Ohio State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) finished with 568 total yards of offense. Barrett was 16 of 26 passing for 300 yards with three touchdowns. He also had 14 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns against the No. 7-ranked Spartans (7-2, 4-1). - Read more at MLive.com
