Michigan State DC Pat Narduzzi: Ohio State was ‘one step ahead’ in 49-37 victory
EAST LANSING — There was only so much the Michigan State defense could do, and on Saturday night it wasn’t enough to slow down Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett.
The No. 13-ranked Buckeyes (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) scored a 49-37 victory over No. 7 Michigan State (7-2, 4-1) at Spartan Stadium, with Barrett completing passes with laser-like accuracy and running the ball with the speed and power of a tailback.
It didn’t seem to matter what defense MSU defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi called, or whether the Spartans blitzed extra men at Barrett or dropped more into coverage. - Read more at MLive.com
