Dantonio: Time for MSU to ‘play through the pain’
EAST LANSING – After watching the film of his team’s 49-37 loss to Ohio State, the evaluation didn’t change much for Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio.
“The bottom line is we were outplayed and outcoached on the defensive side of the ball,” he said tonight on his evening teleconference. “We’ve got to go back and get grounded, look for results and play through the pain a little bit.”
The Spartans (7-2, 4-1 Big Ten) dropped to No. 12 in the polls Sunday after essentially dropping out of the Big Ten race — the Buckeyes (8-1, 5-0) would have to lose two out of three to Minnesota, Indiana and Michigan to open the door — and go next to Maryland (6-3, 3-2) for another night game Saturday (8 p.m., Big Ten Network). - Read more at Freep.com
