Report: MSU’s Waynes a “lock” to enter NFL draft

Michigan State junior cornerback Trae Waynes is widely projected to be a first-round pick — ESPN analyst Todd McShay’s most recent mock draft has him going No. 20 overall — and ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. said Waynes could be the first cornerback taken.

Waynes most recently said he has not given serious thought to his NFL decision. He did not show for MSU’s Cotton Bowl media day on Tuesday but is expected to be available to the media after Thursday’s practice. - Read more at Freep.com
