Michigan State’s Harlon Barnett, Mike Tressel ready to amp up as new co-defensive coordinators

DALLAS — Michigan State’s Harlon Barnett likes to tell the defensive backs he coaches that when they’re on the field, that “other guy” inside of them needs to come out.

Now that Barnett has assumed assistant head coaching duties — along with sharing the co-defensive coordinator role with linebackers coach Mike Tressel per Saturday’s announcement — he concedes the other guy in him might need to make a few more appearances to fire up the defense. - Read more at MLive.com
