Rexrode: No conspiracies; NCAA tourney process is fair
INDIANAPOLIS – I was reminded, while being pelted with tweets from Alabama fans and a reporter Friday, that no amount of NCAA transparency will satisfy everyone.
That was the second of two days spent at NCAA headquarters with 19 other media types, going through the painstaking task of putting together an NCAA men’s basketball tournament field of 68. The NCAA started doing this annually in 2007 to “demystify” the process (in the words of then-NCAA tournament czar Greg Shaheen) that sets the table for the greatest event in sports with one of its best days (in my words). - Read more at Freep.com
