Izzo: No plans to play U-M in nonleague game next season

EAST LANSING – Michigan and Michigan State have played nonleague men’s basketball games in the past when the Big Ten schedule cut them to a single meeting – most recently in 1997 — but that’s not in the plans for next season.

The Big Ten released its men’s basketball scheduling rotation for 2015-16 today, and Michigan State’s lone league game with Michigan will be at Ann Arbor next season. MSU coach Tom Izzo said today after practice that there are no talks to schedule a nonleague game against U-M for Breslin Center. - Read more at Freep.com
