Rexrode: MSU may be off bubble, but now playing for seed

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – As you might expect, the Michigan State locker room Sunday evening at State Farm Center was full of noise and smiles, the Spartans taking pleasure in a 60-53 win over Illinois.

There were no sighs, though. In the back of that room, senior guard and co-captain Travis Trice stood with his back against a wall, surveying the scene as if on guard for a hint of relaxation. Whether MSU (19-8, 10-4 Big Ten) is technically still an NCAA “bubble” team or not, Trice is holding firm to that designation. - Read more at Freep.com
