Izzo stays friends with Calipari, enemies with Twitter

EAST LANSING – Kyle Tucker was having his usual Monday morning, waiting for John Calipari to appear on the weekly SEC teleconference, when he saw some interesting Tom Izzo comments on Twitter.

The Kentucky beat writer for the Louisville Courier-Journal saw tweets with snippets from Izzo on the Big Ten teleconference. Izzo was asked to compare how an unbeaten Kentucky season would compare with Indiana’s 1976 undefeated national title. Izzo gave a lengthy, mostly complimentary response about UK and Calipari to the questioner, Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune. - Read more at Freep.com
