Izzo: Dawson expected to play; Bess officially done

EAST LANSING — Things look good for Michigan State senior forward Branden Dawson returning to action for Friday’s Big Ten tournament quarterfinal at Chicago’s United Center.

“His chances of playing are pretty good,” MSU coach Tom Izzo said of Dawson, who was knocked out of last week’s win over Purdue by a shot to the head and couldn’t talk himself intoSaturday’s win at Indiana. “He’s gonna work out again today, he worked out a little bit yesterday, and they’ll evaluate him today, and I expect to know.
