Up to the Minute:

Houston Texans’ trade Ryan Fitzpatrick to New York Jets

According to NFL Media Insider, Ian Rapoport, the Houston Texans have traded of QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to the New York Jets for a late-round conditional pick. This was a move in anticipation of Brian Hoyer signing with Houston. Hoyer, the former Michigan State quarterback, who spent the early years of his NFL career (2009-11) in New England (where Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien was quarterbacks’ coach under Bill Belichick), is in Houston today and is expected to work out a deal. Nothing is final yet, and Fitzpatrick will have to pass a physical before the trade can be complete.
