‘Fired up’ Izzo drills MSU players as tourney nears

EAST LANSING – Tom Izzo was inches from Marvin Clark Jr.’s right ear, challenging him at high volume. Walk-on Trevor Bohnhoff was poised to slam into him on the other side, and Travis Trice stood right behind Clark, barking encouragement at him as the free throw floated toward the rim.

Bohnhoff got inside Clark, who was trying to perform the simple task of boxing out at the foul line. Do it again. Bohnhoff slipped around him on the outside. Do it again. The Michigan State practice gym got louder. Izzo’s face got redder. - Read more at Freep.com
