Couch: Big Ten is disrespecting its tourney title game

CHICAGO — Michigan State and Wisconsin played one of the more high-level, captivating and completely disrespected Big Ten basketball games in memory Sunday night.

Within minutes the game’s end — nine minutes to be exact — the NCAA tournament pairings were being announced. The college basketball world had hastily moved on.

This game deserved time to marinate. To be celebrated, lamented and dissected.
