Close-knit Spartans extend March run

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Tom Izzo has made it clear that this Michigan State team is not among the most talented he’s coached – and that’s been easy to see all season.

Less obvious to the outside world but becoming more and more apparent is that the Spartans are among his closest teams. And its biggest win of the season, 60-54 over Virginia on Sunday at Time Warner Cable Arena to reach the Sweet 16, was an exercise in top-to-bottom contributions. - Read more at LSJ.com
