What happened: MSU’s Travis Trice went off early with 13 points in a span of 3:43 to put MSU up 15-4, and the Spartans never trailed again. The Cavaliers got within two points early in the second half and within four with 5:12 left. But two Matt Costello foul shots started MSU on a 12-for-16 run at the foul line from there, and Trice’s three-point bomb with 2:51 left was the key shot.
