MSU back in Sweet 16 with 60-54 win over Virginia
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – So much had already happened by the time the Michigan State Spartans took the Time Warner Cable Arena floor this morning, Branden Dawson and Travis Trice just wanted to get going on a game they were determined would not be their farewell.
Trice checked in with his dad on FaceTime, only to realize Travis Sr. had surprised him and made it to town – driving with Travis’ mom, Julie, from 1 to 7:30 a.m. after coaching Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne into the state semifinals.
