MSU WR Monty Madaris not afraid to get physical

EAST LANSING – Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook brought to light a part of Monty Madaris’ game that had never been discussed much – his physicality.

“I think you see it with his blocking,” Cook said of the 6-foot-1, 198-pound receiver after the first practice of spring ball Tuesday. “Say someone throws a pass to (AJ) Troup and Troup’s running, Monty’s looking for someone to frickin’ just crack. Or if it’s a downfield block and he’s got his hands on someone, he’s not gonna let that person go. He plays angry but then he plays focused too.
