Friendship built between MSU’s Izzo, Wisconsin’s Ryan

EAST LANSING – This almost happened a decade ago and, at that point, Tom Izzo and Bo Ryan probably wouldn’t have been calling each other to share in the achievement.

The last time two Big Ten teams played in the Final Four together, MSU and Illinois made it to St. Louis in 2005, and Ryan’s Wisconsin Badgers fell just short with an Elite Eight loss to North Carolina – which went on to beat MSU in the semifinals and Illinois in the title game. - Read more at Freep.com
