Michigan State took down the No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds in the East Region on its way to the Final Four. What the Spartans didn’t do was beat a team with four high-impact offensive players. Virginia, Oklahoma and Louisville all had no more than three. Just as MSU does. Duke has one more. The Spartans have been incredible defensively in this NCAA tournament. It’s been a collective effort, manageable because each opponent had a couple players on the court that weren’t likely to hurt MSU. With Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow, Quinn Cook and Tyus Jones, there is almost no relief, and no defender who’s available to help.
