Defense comes out on top as Spartans scrimmage

East Lansing — Michigan State has several holes to fill on its defense, but that didn’t stop that unit from winning the first scrimmage of spring practice on Friday.

Thanks to three interception returns for touchdowns and a goal-line stand, the defense defeated the offense at Spartan Stadium. The controlled scrimmage, which utilized a modified scoring system, was 121 plays long, including special teams. - Read more at DetNews.com
