Inexperienced Holmes, London battling for MSU RB spot

EAST LANSING – Gerald Holmes came to Michigan State with hopes of starting at running back as a true freshman in 2013, and Madre London pined for the No. 2 role and freshman All-America honors as a first-year player in 2014.

Reality is a jolt to most freshmen who arrive at successful college football programs. Realities can change quickly, though, and this spring has offered real opportunities to both backs.
