MSU’s Dantonio hopes spring game attracts 50,000 fans

EAST LANSING – Midnight Madness is the model, and while it may not be easy to replicate the atmosphere of a packed basketball arena on a fall Friday night in a football stadium on a spring Saturday, Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio wants to get as close to possible.

“That’s really what spring games across this country are starting to become,” Dantonio said Monday on MSU athletic director Mark Hollis’ radio show on the Spartan Sports Network, “and we really need to keep pace with that.” - Read more at Freep.com
