White 9, Green 3: Why the White team won spring game

WHAT HAPPENED: Not much, at least not on the offensive side of the ball. An early touchdown for the White — a tricky run to center-turned-fullback Jack Allen — was the only trip into the end zone for either team. The game, which featured four 10-minute quarters, saw 322 yards of total offense, 19 first downs, five sacks — Shilique Calhoun had 21/2 of those — and seven tackles for losses. White team quarterback Connor Cook was 11-for-22 for 105 yards, while Green’s Tyler O’Connor was 6-for-16 for 51 yards and an interception.
