MSU’s Lippett ready to help in NFL on offense or defense

EAST LANSING – Tony Lippett is uncertain if he’ll be drafted, where he’ll go or even what position he might end up playing in the NFL.

He can tell you exactly what’s going to happen on his former team, though.

“The guy who’s going to take my spot as the No. 1 guy is Aaron Burbridge,” Lippett said of Michigan State’s search for a new go-to receiver. “There’s no doubt about it. Before he had the little foot thing in the spring, he was out there just balling, making it look easy. Last year he started to figure it all out, and I did my best to take him under my wing.
