MSU’s Sadler gets shot to show strength at Bucs minicamp
EAST LANSING – “The door is closing…” Mike Sadler said in a text message Saturday night as he waited on NFL teams to contact him.
The draft was over. The free-agent scramble was more than an hour old. Things were looking bleak.
But before the former Michigan State punter went to bed that night with a different future in mind, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers called with an opportunity.
