Ex-Spartan Mike Sadler makes most of tryout with Bucs

EAST LANSING – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t ask for any of the things Mike Sadler does especially well, but the former Michigan State punter made the most of his opportunity anyway.

There was no directional punting, no pooch punting, during Sadler’s tryout with the Bucs last weekend. Just a test of Sadler’s leg strength, punts right down the middle of the field, and he passed — Sadler said he averaged 52 yards and 4.59 seconds of hang time during his punts in team periods, both strong numbers. - Read more at Freep.com
