Merchant: MSU women could be special in 2015-16

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Suzy Merchant and other Big Ten women’s basketball coaches made their pitch to return to a 16-game league schedule at this week’s Big Ten spring meetings, after last season saw the return of a highly compressed 18-game slate.

“We’ll see,” the Michigan State coach said after Tuesday’s meetings of a women’s regular season that ends a week earlier than the Big Ten men, producing multiple three-game weeks. “We presented and I think we did a good job, and now it’s sort of in their hands to look at it.” - Read more at Freep.com
