Izzo: ‘We’re stupid’ if we don’t address NCAA transfers
Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo had fun talking about recruiting today with his arm around Kentucky coach John Calipari, joking in front of cameras at Oakland Hills Country Club.
Calipari said, at an event to fight cancer put together by Oakland coach Greg Kampe, that Izzo has beaten him “way more than I’ve beaten him” for recruits. Izzo said he only got Adreian Payne and Gary Harris because Calipari was late in getting to them.
