MSU extends contracts of Hollis, Izzo, Merchant, Anastos

EAST LANSING — The Michigan State University Board of Trustees on Wednesday approved one-year contract extensions for athletic director Mark Hollis, men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo, women’s basketball coach Suzy Merchant and hockey coach Tom Anastos. All four votes were considered formalities.

Hollis, MSU’s AD since 2008, had his contract extended through 2019. The contract for Izzo, entering his 21st season, now rolls over through 2021. Merchant’s deal extends to 2019. Anastos’ contract through 2018. Merchant began at MSU in 2007, Anastos in 2011. - Read more at Freep.com
