No. 47 - Bob Apisa
Fullback, 1965-67, Honolulu
The skinny: Apisa has been described as the godfather of the Hawaii pipeline that produced Polynesian football players Junior Seau, Troy Polamalu and Marcus Mariota. He is a legend on the Hawaiian islands. In the mid-1960s, he was also among the godfathers of the ball-carrying fullback in college football. In an era when fullbacks were primarily blockers, Apisa brought sprinter speed to the position, playing alongside — and blocking for — Clinton Jones. - Read more at LSJ.com
