No. 48 - Derrick Mason
Receiver / kick returner, 1993-96, Detroit
The skinny: Mason twice led MSU in receptions, with 53 catches both in 1995 and ’96, at the beginning of Nick Saban’s coaching tenure. He was a speedy, elusive and fearless target, who produced five 100-yard games during his senior season. But he made this countdown in large part because in a program flush with All-American kickers and punters, Mason might have been the greatest special teams player ever to play at MSU. - Read more at LSJ.com
