No. 44 - George Saimes
Fullback / defensive back, 1960-62, Canton, Ohio
The skinny: Saimes is among the most complete football players ever to play at Michigan State, a consensus All-American fullback in 1962 and standout rover back (strong safety). He led the Spartans in rushing as both a junior and senior, with 642 yards and nine touchdowns during his All-American season, while also captaining the defense and recording three interceptions. - Read more at LSJ.com
