No. 43 - Trae Waynes

Cornerback, 2012-14, Kenosha, Wis.

The skinny: Teamed with Darqueze Dennard in 2013, Waynes was part of the best set of cornerbacks in MSU history — playing the most pivotal position in a defensive system that relies on its corners to be able to fend for themselves on an island. Without Waynes’ rapid development, the “No Fly Zone” in 2013 would have been only half of the field. The 13.2 points per game that season, the Big Ten championship and the Rose Bowl experience — none of it happens without Waynes. - Read more at LSJ.com
