EAST LANSING — Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio likes to use motivational slogans each season. Two that he picked for this season’s Spartans are “move the rock” and “it starts here.”

Michigan State will have an opportunity to apply both slogans at 3:30 p.m. today when the No. 8-ranked Spartans (6-1, 3-0 Big Ten) host rival Michigan (3-4, 1-2) at Spartan Stadium (TV: ABC/ESPN).

Dantonio has the best winning percentage against Michigan of any Michigan State football coach in program history, having won five of seven meetings. Another victory would “move the rock” even further in a positive direction from the Spartans perspective. - Read more at MLive.com
