Michigan State’s Jeremy Langford gets 100 yards rushing for 12th straight Big Ten game
EAST LANSING — Michigan State tailback Jeremy Langford has rushed for 100 yards or more in 12 consecutive Big Ten games dating back to last year’s homecoming game against Indiana, as his 4-yard gain at the 1:53 mark of the third quarter of Saturday’s game put him over the century mark against Michigan.
It’s the 11th-straight Big Ten regular season game in which Langford has gone for 100 or more, tying the official league mark held by Penn State’s Curtis Enis (1996-97). Langford also topped 100 yards in last year’s Big Ten championship game, which if included boosts the streak to 12.
Langford entered Saturday’s game ranked fifth in the Big Ten in rushing with 664 yards through the first seven games this season, averaging 94.9 yards per outing and 5.3 yards per carry for the No. 8-ranked Spartans. - Read more at MLive.com
