5 things to watch: Michigan State rested and refreshed for Ohio State showdown

EAST LANSING — Mark Dantonio is confident his veteran team knows the drill, so he held only one practice last week with hopes Michigan State players will refresh themselves and be ready for Ohio State on Saturday night.

The Big Ten East Division showdown at Spartan Stadium is one of only two remaining home games for the No. 7 Spartans (7-1, 4-0 Big Ten), who have won 12 straight in East Lansing.

It’s worth noting the No. 13 Buckeyes (7-1, 4-0) have a couple streaks of their own, having tied a Big Ten record by winning 20 straight regular-season conference games in addition to boasting the nation’s longest active road win streak (11 games).
