Michigan State’s Shilique Calhoun and Ohio State’s Joey Bosa named Lombardi Award semifinalists
EAST LANSING — Michigan State junior defensive end Shilique Calhoun was named one of 12 semifinalists for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which goes annually to the nation’s best FBS lineman (offense or defense) who “in addition to outstanding performance and ability, best exemplifies the discipline of Vince Lombardi.”
Calhoun has been named a midseason All American, and he’s also on watch lists for Walter Camp, Bednarik,and Nagurski Awards.
The list of finalists includes 10 defensive players and two offensive players, and Calhoun is one of six defensive ends to make the final 12, which includes Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa. - Read more at MLive.com
