EAST LANSING — Michigan State remained at No. 8 in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night on ESPN.

A two-loss Mississippi team fell from No. 4 to No. 11, but Kansas State leapfrogged Michigan State and moved into the No. 7 position after beating Oklahoma State last weekend, 48-14.

Kansas State was ranked No. 9 last week.

The Spartans (7-1, 4-0 Big Ten) were ranked No. 6 in the USA Today coaches poll and No. 7 in the Grantland Rice Super 16 poll and the Associated Press Top 25 polls released earlier this week. - Read more at MLive.com
