Michigan State defensive line coach Ron Burton says more consistency needed up front
EAST LANSING — Michigan State defensive line coach Ron Burton said the Spartans weren’t completely dominated up front, but they weren’t consistent enough against Ohio State on Saturday night.
“You can’t be one play on and one play off, you have to do it consistently through the game, and that’s what it’s all about,” Burton said Wednesday. “We had our chances to make plays, and we didn’t make plays.”
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said Burton’s defensive tackles were “handled” by Ohio State in a manner he didn’t expect, and defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi said the linemen lost control of their gaps. - Read more at MLive.com
