Michigan State senior Jeremy Langford earned his place at tailback after early position moves
EAST LANSING — For all the joy of bringing the crowd to its feet with his inspiring runs, and the adrenaline rush he has felt scoring each of his 33 career touchdowns, Michigan State tailback Jeremy Langford will most miss his teammates when his collegiate career comes to an end.
“I’ll miss the chemistry that we’ve built,” said Langford, one of 10 senior starters who will be making their final home game appearance when Michigan State plays Rutgers at noon on Saturday. “We’re all like brothers.”
Langford represents one of the Spartans’ success stories, as he was once a lightly-recruited prospect out of John Glenn High School in Westland who ranked No. 29 in the state in the Class of 2010, according to 247Sports.
Langford enters Saturday’s game ranked 17th in the nation this season with 1,116 yards and riding a school-record streak of 13 consecutive games of 100 yards rushing or more against Big Ten opponents. - Read more at MLive.com
