Michigan State co-offensive coordinator Dave Warner nominated for Broyles Award
EAST LANSING — Michigan State co-offensive coordinator Dave Warner has been nominated by the Rotary Club of Little Rock for the Broyles Award, which recognizes the best college football assistant.
Spartans’ defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi won the award last season after his unit led the Big Ten in total defense for a third consecutive season and finished the 2013 regular season ranked No. 1 in the nation.
Warner is one of 40 coaches who have been nominated, and one of six in the Big Ten, joining fellow league coordinators:
— Greg Mattison, Michigan defensive coordinator
— Tracy Claeys, Minnesota defensive coordinator
— Tom Herman, Ohio State offensive coordinator
— Bob Shoop, Penn State defensive coordinator
— Dave Aranda, Wisconsin defensive coordinator
