Michigan State RB Jeremy Langford ‘excited’ to take on nation’s No. 1 run defense
EAST LANSING — Michigan State tailback Jeremy Langford has rushed for 100 yards or more against the past 15 Big Ten opponents he has faced dating back to the middle of last season.
But Saturday’s game at Penn State might prove to be his toughest challenge to date.
The Nittany Lions rank No. 1 in the nation in rushing defense, holding opponents to an average of 81.7 yards per game and 2.53 yards per carry.
The No. 10-ranked Spartans (9-2, 6-1) say they won’t change their game plan for the 3:30 game against Penn State (6-5, 2-5), according to offensive line coach Mark Staten.
“Like any week, want to establish the run game,” Staten said. “But it’s going to take a tremendous amount of work up front. We’re going to have to be on top of our game and play excellent.” - Read more at MLive.com
