Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg accustomed to the pressure Michigan State will bring
EAST LANSING — Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg has not had the type of season many envisioned for the gifted sophomore quarterback. But Michigan State secondary coach Harlon Barnett says Hackenberg has the ability to change that perception in a hurry.
“I can see why people have been talking about him, put it that way,” said Barnett, who has studied tape of the Nittany Lions’ offense all week. I know he may have had some struggles here or there, but you can see the ability and the talent when you watch the film.
“They have some receivers that can do some things, and running backs as well. It’s a multiple offense, so it’s going to be a challenge for us.”
