EAST LANSING -Michigan State offensive lineman Travis Jackson was standing in a Kellogg Center stairwell with teammates on Sunday, about to be introduced into team’s annual football banquet, when the Spartans’ holiday travel plans changed.

“Someone was flipping through their phone and said ‘the Orange Bowl is Mississippi State against Georgia Tech,’ and everyone was like, ‘Oh man, what’s going to happen next?’ ” Jackson said Sunday evening. “The Fiesta was the next bowl announced, and then we saw we were going to the Cotton Bowl.” - Read more at MLive.com
