Mark Dantonio: Tony Lippett ‘one of the greatest players in Michigan State history’

ARLINGTON, Texas — Michigan State senior Tony Lippett will be celebrated as one of college football’s brightest stars Thursday when he takes the field as a rare two-way player, starting at both cornerback and receiver in the Cotton Bowl.

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio likens Lippett to former Ohio State star Chris Gamble, who played offense and defense for him when the Buckeyes won the 2002 national title.
